“We were coming back after meeting the party workers when Malik was arrested by Police near Nizamudin,” said Bitta over the phone from New Delhi.
Malik was due to start a two –daylong hunger strike at Janter Manter on Friday morning. Earlier according to media reports , Delhi police refused permission to JKLF to hold demonstration at venue. But Malik said he will go ahead with his campaign against arbitrary arrests, court cases against former militants and return of mortal remains of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and founder of JKLF Muhammad Maqbool Bhat both executed and buried in New Delhi’s Tihar jail.
