The All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) today alleged that the Jammu and Kashmir government has failed to provide them essentials, including sugar, on the occasion of Baisakhi festival, to be celebrated on April 13.In a statement here, APSCC chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina alleged that there was no ration, including sugar, wheat flour and rice available on the sale depots of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) in the Valley, particularly in the area where sikhs are residing.
“Till date the sugar is not available, even the special quota which is being given for this festival, has not been released,” he said.
He demanded that the government immediately rush adequate ration to sale depots so that the members of the Sikh community could celebrate the festival. However, he greeted the people on the occasion and prayed that this day brought happiness in the state.
