Deputy CM’s residence attacked in Kashmir

Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, on Tuesday asked his guards not to retaliate and exercise restraint when angry youth protesting against the anti-Islam video clip pelted stones at his residence at M A Road here.
Tara Chand while talking to Greater Kashmir said,“ When I heard the noise I came out to see what was happening. Some youth were pelting stones towards my residence. I asked my Deputy Superintendent Security to ensure that none of my guards retaliate even if the protesters break the door.”
As reported earlier protesters clashed with police at M A road here this afternoon when police resorted to teargas shelling and baton charge to disperse a procession. Protesters also set ablaze a Government Gypsy parked outside the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister.
