Kargil, a border town on Srinagar-Leh national highway was coldest in the region after the minimum temperature dropped to minus 3 degree.
After above normal maximum and minimum temperatures, sun was again playing hide and seek in the Kashmir valley, where light rain or thunder showers would occur at isolated places during the next 24 hours.
There would be no large change in the weather during subsequent four days, a Met department spokesman said. He said Kargil in Ladakh region recorded minus 3 degree minimum temperature.
However, at Leh it was 7 degrees, more than six degrees more than yesterday. He said light rain is likely to occur at Leh tomorrow.

World famous ski resort of Gulmarg recorded 6 degree minimum temperature while at famed health resort of Pahalgam it was 5.8 degree against yesterdays 3 degree and 2.6 degree respectively.
In summer capital, Srinagar, the minimum was up by three degrees against yesterday when it was 8 degree. Light rain or thunder showers would occur tomorrow, he said.
