After considerable drop in the maximum and minimum temperature due to fresh snowfall and rains, weather will improve from tomorrow.
A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon weather will remain mainly dry over Jammu and
Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
There would be no much change during the subsequent two days, he said. However, he said, due to fresh snowfall on upper reaches and heavy rains in plains, the minimum and maximum temperatures have dropped in the valley. Temperatures were below normal, he said.
Spokesman said in the summer capital, Srinagar, the maximum temperature was 9.9 degrees, eleven degree below normal. Similarly the minimum temperature also was two degree below normal and three degree less than yesterday, he said.
There will be mainly clear sky tomorrow, he said adding the maximum will be near normal but minimum will remain a degree below normal.
The world famous ski resort of Gulmarg, where fresh snowfall was experienced yesterday, recorded 0.0 degree minimum temperature, two degree below normal while at famed health resort of Pahalgam it was 0.4 degree, three degree below normal.
Elsewhere in the valley, the minimum and maximum temperatures were below normal, he said.
