Cabinet To Meet On Wednesday, Reshuffle In Police On Cards

After major reshuffle in Civil Administration last week, the state Cabinet is meeting again on Wednesday at Jammu for a similar rejig   in Police administration. This will be the last cabinet meeting in winter Capital before the Power of seat shifts to Srinagar later in the week.

Sources told KNS that the cabinet would meet at 9.30 am Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during which the transfers and promotions in the police would be on top of the agenda.

Meanwhile a senior Minster wishing anonymity told KNS that the transfers in the Police department were on the agenda.

“There has already been a reshuffle in the top brass of the Police, but this time there will be promotions and transfers at SSP level.” The minister said.
