Schools To Reopen On Monday In Kashmir Valley

Putting an end to speculations of extension in winter vacations in Kashmir in wake of ongoing tensionm the state government today said will reopen on the scheduled date of March 11, Monday.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon, said there is no change in the winter vacations schedule in schools and that the class work in schools will begin on March 11.

He added that even if the restrictions remain in certain areas of the Valley, it would not curb the movement of school children and school buses.

“Even if restrictions happen to be in any area in view of apprehension of breach of peace, we may consider school buses and uniform as permission for movement to and from schools in the Valley,” Div Com, Kashmir, was quoted by TNS as saying.

He urged cooperation from parents and civil society of Kashmir in ensuring smooth work at the schools.
