After minor clashes in the town, Army soldiers allegedly beat up pedestrians and broke the window panes of houses and private vehicles.
Eyewitness said soldiers went on rampage after a stone was pelted on an army vehicle which was passing by where minor protests were going on.
Eyewitness said soon after army action youth came out on streets at various places and fought pitched battles with army and police.
More reinforcements were deployed in the town and restrictions were imposed in the town on the moment of the people.
Clashes were continuing when reports last came in.
