‘No Curfew Today’

 In view of the improvement in the overall situation, curfew is likely to be lifted from parts of Srinagar city on Saturday.

Highly placed sources said after reviewing the situation, the administration has decided not to impose curfew.

While contacted, Divisional Commissioner, Asgar Samoon said there are chances of providing some relaxation on Saturday. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Khan said he was waiting for the feedback about the situation from concerned security agencies.

“Whether to continue curfew or not would be decided only after we get feedback. Till then we can’t say anything,” Khan said.

He could not be contacted later as his mobile phone was continuously switched off.
