Kashmir players rebel, boycott practice session

A day after J&K Cricket team for the third Ranji Trophy tie against Andra Pradesh was announced, players from Kashmir province on Thursday boycotted the practice session in protest against “biased selection.”

“We decided to boycott the practice session against the biased selection,” said one of the players.

“We have written letter to J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) President Dr Farooq Abdullah regarding the whole matter,” he added.

Confirming the development JK Chief Coach and former International cricketer, Bishen Singh Bedi said: “I am on the ground waiting for the players but only half of the players have reported. It is really bad and I don’t k now what is going inside JK cricket circles”.
