Three Central Reserve Police (CRPF) personnel were hurt on Thursday when suspected militants attacked their camp with a grenade, police said.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the grenade explosion which took place in Hotel Plaza near Bus Stand Sopore.
The explosion sent a wave of panic down the street after the explosion injured three CRPF men this afternoon near the Hotel in the town.
“Unknown militants hurled a grenade at CRPF 179 BN, resulting in injuries to three CRPF personals. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
Overall violence, involving militants and security forces, has declined in across Jammu and Kashmir state, but people are still killed in occasional bomb attacks and shootouts.
