Yamaha has launched its first scooter, Ray in India. Priced at Rs 46,000, the Ray will soon be available in dealerships.The gearless Ray is powered by a 113cc engine that develops 7.1PS at 7500rpm and 8.1Nm of torque.
At 104kg, the scooter is very agile and telescopic suspension ensures a comfortable ride.
As the flashy pink colour suggests, the scooter targets young ladies under 24. Endorsed by Deepika Padukone, the scooter is made in an assembly line operated entirely by women. Yamaha offers a rider training program for women as well. Moreover the low seat, easy to operate side and centre stands are all designed with women in mind.
Yamaha is offering their new scooter in Pink, Purple, Blue, Burgundy, Grey and Black.
