An encounter between the Army and militants broke out in north Kashmir’s Uri Sector on Saturday evening, sources said.Giving details a senior Army officer of 15 Corps told Greater Kashmir that solders of 17 Dogra witnessed suspicious movement in Karata Behak sector.
“Soldiers asked the suspects to stop, but they opened fire which was retaliated triggering an encounter,” he added.
”It is too late and searches in the area would be conducted in the morning,” he said. “The area is under tight cordon and additional reinforcements have been sent to area to assist the soldiers.”
