Anti-Islam film: PPP to participate in countrywide protests on Friday

 Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will also participate in protest demonstrations announced by different organizations and political parties on Friday, against the anti-Islam film, Geo News reported.

Speaking to the media here today, Rehman Malik told reporters, that PPP has decided to join hands with the protesters against the blasphemous movie, adding that the entire nation is united when it comes to the sanctity of last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

To a question related to the security situation in Karachi, the minister replied that a new wave of violence has hit the city. He added that the terrorists wanted to carry out attacks at the shopping centre but they could not do so due to the effective security arrangements made by the administration.

Responding to a question related to mobile services, Rehman Malik said that a joint strategy will be formulated after consulting with the relevant parties.
